How time flys. Fullmonto.com is 12 months old, the dust has settled the rude roos keep their gear on mostly these days. However the making of video that accompanied their journey coy to calendar boys in 30 days has continued the legacy. The vid has been posted at Youtube, Revver, Livevideo, Veoh, Metacafe and Blip TV, it has been embedded in all sorts of places and featured regularly. Total views now exceed 26 000 views, so if you haven’t seen it yet join the club!

G’day Fullmonto fans, as you remember our merry band of Monto footballers went full monto for a very important cause, brain injury. Well in Monto, like other rural communities in Queensland, an other very important cause has emerged. You seen the State Government has well and truly upset the apple cart.

On the 17th of April the Local Government Minister Andrew (my name is now mud) Fraser announced a pretty slippery process for the forced amalgamation of councils. Now the Orange Boy doesn’t like to get all heavy, but if councils are rationalised it could mean the death of small country towns like Monto.

You wouldn’t want to see the Fullmonto boys without a shirt on thier back would you? Hang you probably would, that’s probably why you starting coming here in the first place. Each year the people of Monto in Central Queensland, Australia dust off their glad rags and head for the track. Country races in Queensland are under threat so it’s a great day when everyone can get dressed up and let their hair down.

here at fullmonto we have had the scientists up all night running the number and analysing the stats. we can say that it seems entirely possibly the dutch are passionate about 3 things. cheese, tulips, and fullmonto! now this might not be true because the scientists were drunk at the time and they are only monkeys.

however what we can say with complete certainty is the fullmonto video has been featured on another dutch website. this time zij online.

race officials for the monto roos race day are alledgedly under investigation for suspicious behaviour. a race fan who did not want to be identified said there were reports of doping and corruption. when pressed the unidentified source revealed that last year’s race caller had been seen drinking several fourex gold beers, the officials are obviously doping themselves the fan said. “they were at it last year everyone seemed to be having a good time the bar was usually full and so were the officials. all i’m saying is there were a lot of brown bottles on officials dias, that’s all i’m saying”.

obviously this is a story we at fullmonto will need to cover more closely. we will be there with our cameras on the 10th of march at th monto showgrounds at 3pm to catch all of the monto roos pig raceday.
